DRPK - Double Roll Pin Knife Roll

​The DRPK 90 Series knife roll is a one piece, casted alternative to the three piece knife roll that maintains the 4 ½” x 4 ½” inlaid chrome bladed unit. The roll spirals are also hardfaced to prevent inevitable wear in the field. Simple mounting is achieved with two bolts and two roll pins.

Three Piece Knife Roll

The 90 series knife roll is machined to the original factory specifications of 4.5" x 4.5". The edges are 100% chromed, not chrome-plated! Each spiral is rebuilt, then ground to the original specifications.

Certain features can be implemented for better feed and increased performance. Instead of the spiral ending between two flutes, increased efficiency can be obtained if the spiral is shortened and matched up with the flute of the knife edge.

The standing record for wear is held by Althaus Brothers of Sublette, Illinois, with a total of 17,000 acres processed using an eight row head. As seen by the photos, the heads were still in good shape with only moderate wear.

Block and Guides

The hardest allowed material is used to remanufacture blocks and guides. Each model is reflowed, then machine-ground flush for top-of-the-line durability. We guarantee a better, more durable block and guide is not on the market.
Worn blocks and guides can damage gathering chains, rollers, idler teeth and drive sprockets. Utilize our rebuilt components for preventative maintenance and longevity.

Hydraulic & Stationary
​Deck Plates

Each deck plate is 100% chrome edged and machine planed for a straight edge.
​Utilizing as much chrome as possible, an outer edge is machined onto each deck plate. This rim acts as a barrier to keep kernels from falling through the snapping rolls.
